10 Days Exclusive Safari in Uganda

On your 10 days exclusive uganda safari, you will enjoy the blue skies and sunny days of Uganda as you travel to destinations like Kibale National Park where you will trek for chimpanzees and visit the top of the world to look at the crater lakes, you will then travel to two savannah national parks that is Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo for a game drive and a boat cruise on Lake Mburo in lake Mburo national Park and on Kazinga channel in Queen.

You will end your 10 days safari in Uganda with a city tour around Kampala the East African busiest and entertainment city to visit a variety of places as listed below on the ninth day and then you will fly back home

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and travel to Kibale National Park

Our driver guide will be waiting for you at the airport and immediately after you arrive, he will welcome you and take you through a briefing about the destinations you will go to on your 10 days safari in Uganda. He will then drive you to the western part of Uganda where the primate capital of the world Kibale National Park is situated.

You will have your stopover in Fort portal tourism city for your lunch and then proceed with your journey as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rwenzori, the ever-green vegetation and many more. You will check in at the lodge that was booked for you.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and top of the world

Be served a heavy breakfast and then drive to the visitor’s centre Kanyanchu where trekking is normally carried out and you will meet the ranger guide who will brief you about the rules and regulations followed while trekking.

From there, you will be led to the tropical rainforest of Kibale to look for these chimpanzees and once sighted, you will be given one hour for taking photos, shoot videos, learn their behaviours and ask the guide anything you want to know about the chimpanzees and their lifestyle. After one hour, you will trek back to the offices and then be driven back to the lodge for your lunch.

Later in the evening, you will drive to Isunga cultural community tours located approximately opposite the Kibale conservation area headquarters where you will meet a local guide that will lead you to the top of the world.  While on top of the world, you will look at three crater lakes at the same time, you will also have a look at the ranges of the Rwenzori Mountain in the clear view, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth, the tea plantations and Fort portal city. After you will transfer to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and evening boat cruise

After you have a heavy breakfast in the morning, you will check out from your lodge and drive to the second largest National Park in Uganda which is Queen Elizabeth National Park which was named Queen Elizabeth in honour of the Queen of England's visit to Uganda. It is located in the foothills of the Rwenzori also known as the Mountains of the moon.

 Drive to the lodge for lunch and after head for a boat cruise in the Kazinga channel. While on your boat cruise, you will have a look at hippos, crocodiles that inhabit the water, other animals like elephants, and buffaloes that enjoy Kazinga waters then move back to the lodge.

Day 4: Morning Boat cruise and evening game drive

In the morning, wake up and have your breakfast then head for a morning boat cruise where you will be able to view a lot of birds on the river banks feeding, animals like elephants, and antelopes that visit the river daily to mention but a few. Move back to the lodge for your lunch and after you will head for a game drive in the Ishasha sector.

You will drive to the natural habitats of the rare tree climbing lions which are Ishasha located in the extreme southern part of the park.

Apart from spotting the lions, you will also have a look at other animals like antelopes that the lions normally feed on and birds as well. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 5: Road trip to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Waking up at any time, you will be served a heavy breakfast and the life of the lodge for Bwindi impenetrable national in the extreme southern part of Uganda in Kisoro District home to over 51 reptiles, 120 mammals, 200 species of trees and 357 bird species to mention but a few attractions. But above all the mentioned attractions, it is famously known for homing half of the remaining population of the mountain gorillas that most visitors eagerly want to see. You will proceed to the lodge for your need since you will arrive late.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa

Wake up to an early breakfast and then drive to the park headquarters for permits and then to the starting point where you will be briefed by the ranger guide then he will lead you to the misty slopes of Bwindi to search for these gorillas.

The time spent on trekking depends on how far the mountain gorillas have moved and it can last from 1- 7 hours or even the whole day, but once they are found, you will be given one hour to watch them play, groom each other, mating as you also take photos. After your one-hour experience, you will head back to the office for certificates of participation and then to the lodge for your lunch.

You will head for the Batwa cultural experience whereby you will be entertained with their cultural dances, enjoy their local meals if you don't mind, see how they used to light a fire using sticks and not forget to come along with some souvenirs made by the Batwa. The experience will end and you will move back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and horseback

Be served with a heavy breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up and drive you to the smallest national park but very interesting which is lake Mburo the home for zebras. You will have a stopover at Igongo cultural center for your lunch and then embark on your journey to the booked lodge.

In the evening after a moment of relaxation, you will head for a horseback ride in Park the activity organized by a lodge called Mihingo and you will be able to explore the beauty of the Eastern part of the park. Return to the lodge for your night and dinner as well.

Day 8: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise

Explore the beauty of the smallest national park on a game drive in the morning after your breakfast where you will be rewarded with a lot of eye-catching animals like eland, impala and many more antelope species, zebras grazing in front of buffaloes. You will also spot many birds in the acacia trees since the Park hosts over 320 species of birds like ibises, starlings, bishops and many more.

Retreat to the lodge for your lunch and after head for a 2-hour evening boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you will have a look at hippos, crocodiles and a lot of water bird species including the Shoebill and the rare finfoot. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 9: Transfer to Kampala and city tour

Check out from the lodge after your breakfast in the morning and then a road trip back to Kampala you will have your stop over at the equator to give your camera what to do and then you will proceed with your journey to the city and immediately you will continue with your drive around the city where you will visit many places like the Uganda Wildlife Education Center to look at what you missed seeing in the wild, the Uganda Museum to look Uganda's oldest equipment and knowing the history of the country.

You will also visit cultural centers and markets to enjoy the fresh fruits grown in the fertile Ugandan soils. If you want to look at the religious sites, you can also opt to visit some like the Uganda Martyrs shrine. Move to the hotel for your dinner.

Day 10: Fly back home

 This will be the last day of your 10 days safari in Uganda and you will wake up in the morning, have your breakfast and your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel and drop you at the airport and you will fly back to your home country.
