Detailed itinerary
Day 1. Arrive in Kigali Rwanda and head to Nyungwe National Park
Be picked up from the airport on your arrival and go through a briefing by the assigned driver guide who will tell you about what the tour comprises. You will immediately transfer to Nyungwe National Park the only national park in Rwanda with 13 primates including our beautiful cousins, chimpanzees. The driver guide will have great knowledge and experience about this park and the country at large. Arrive in the and transfer to a safari lodge.
Day 2. Chimpanzee Trekking and transfer to Kahuzi Biega National Park (DR Congo)
Head to the offices of the park and attend a briefing led by the park ranger guide and they will cover the dos and don'ts, what you need to have while in the forest such as drinking water and much more. Begin the search and this whole experience takes about 2 to 5 hours depending on the location of the gorillas but an hour will be spent in the presence of these chimps. Immediately after the experience, you will head to the lodge for lunch and this will be followed by a journey to DR Congo in Kahuzi-Biega national park. Cross the border and you will undergo the immigration process but success finds your way to the lodge in Bukavu Town.
Day 3. Gorilla trekking and leisure
Head for another and most exciting adventure where you will trek the endangered eastern low land gorillas. After the briefing which may not differ from the previous one in Nyungwe National Park. You will enjoy the best of gorilla which is the largest on planet earth. You will spend an hour in their presence and this will create everlasting memories. After the trek, you will penetrate back to the lodge for lunch and a leisure experience.
Day 4.transfer back to Kigali and departure
Be the happiest man or woman after this great and short safari on this day since it will be the day and this will begin with breakfast and then transfer to Kigali. You can opt to take a visit to some of the renowned attractions such as the Rwanda genocide memorial centre, the Kimironko market and much more others. Be dropped at the airport and this will mark the end of the tour.
