3 days Mountain Gorilla safari in Virunga National Park

Day 1: Arrive through Kigali airport and depart to Virunga National Park

As soon as you get to the airport our well-behaved driver guide will warmly welcome you and take you through a quick briefing about the safari then move to the nearest hotel for breakfast.

After a short break, set off on the journey heading to Virunga National Park. Have a stopover before getting into the park for lunch, proceed and check in with the booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay as you prepare for the next activity.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park

Wake up early morning and have your well-prepared breakfast. Meet your driver guide and move to the park headquarters where you will be assigned to a given gorilla family and ranger guide and set off to the jungles in search of mountain gorillas.

They live in groups/families and after trekking a dedicated habituated group, see them grooming each other, climbing up in the trees, screaming and entertaining. Retreat to the lodge for lunch and relax as you wait for dinner and a night stay.

Day 3: Head back to Kigali Rwanda and fly home

This day marks the end of your safari. Arise early in the morning for breakfast accompanied by cup of coffee or tea depending on your choice. Check out and set for the journey back to Kigali airport.

Have a stopover in the city for lunch or visit a craft shop to buy some souvenirs to take home for remembrance. The driver guide will drop you at Kigali airport.
