Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: After a hefty breakfast, the first day of your 3 days Uganda mountain gorilla trekking tour will be dedicated to traveling from Kampala to Bwindi National Park. Your long journey begins after briefing from the experienced guide and you will follow the Masaka-Mbarara route, 8-9 hours’ drive.

Day 2: Ultimate Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience Bwindi National Park

Wake up early, prepare and join others for an early morning breakfast. After, you will be expected to assemble at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offices where briefing on mountain gorilla trekking rules will be conducted by the park official. Today being your day to visit mountain gorillas, a single mountain gorilla family will be allocated to you and you will set off in your group of 8pax.

Tracking with endangered mountain mountain gorillas in Bwindi takes about 2-6 hours. When you come across a group of these large apes, a maximum of 1 hour will be for you to enjoy a close encounter and taking pictures. After getting up close and personal with mountain gorillas, expect to return to your superb accommodation for lunch, relaxation.

In the evening, there will be addition of guided cultural visit at the Batwa pygmies living adjacent at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Get to understand the distinct traditions, lifestyles, practices of the Batwa, the ancient hunting and gathering techniques they used while still in Bwindi Forest.

Day 3: Departure – End of 3 Days Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Trekking tour

Breakfast will be served to you at the lodge and after, a pack of lunch will be provided then you get to your vehicle ready for a return journey to Kigali or Entebbe. En-route, Equator crossing will be your key area for a stopover and you will have ample time to take pictures, stretching or choose to visit Mpambire Drum Makers to observe how traditional drums are locally made.
