Located 7,200 feet above sea level, Kiambethu was established in 1910 by AB McDonell, a pioneer of the Kenyan tea industry. As one of the first farms in Kenya to grow, make, and sell tea commercially, Kiambethu has played a significant role in developing what is now one of the country’s largest exports. The farm is currently run by his granddaughter, Fiona Vernon, continuing a five-generation legacy.

Surrounded by acres of lush tea fields and an indigenous forest home to the Colobus monkeys, the farmhouse offers visitors a glimpse into a bygone era, beautifully preserved within vibrant gardens.
