3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali Airport and Depart to Virunga National Park (3-4 hours drive)

As soon as you arrive at Kigali International Airport, our courteous and knowledgeable driver-guide will warmly welcome you. After a quick safari briefing, you'll be transferred to a nearby hotel for a delicious breakfast.

Following a short break, embark on a scenic 3-4 hour drive to Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. En route, enjoy a lunch stop before proceeding to your pre-booked lodge within the park. After check-in, unwind with dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for the thrilling adventure that awaits.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park

Wake up early to a well-prepared breakfast at the lodge. Your driver-guide will escort you to the Virunga National Park headquarters, where you'll be briefed on the day's activity and assigned to a specific gorilla family, along with an experienced ranger guide.

Your gorilla trekking experience will take you deep into the jungle, where you’ll spend around 1-4 hours hiking, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you reach the gorilla group, you’ll have an hour to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Watch them groom each other, climb trees, and display their natural behaviors up close.

After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-earned lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge, enjoying the serene environment. Dinner will be served in the evening before you retire for the night.

Day 3: Return to Kigali, Rwanda, and Fly Home (3-4 hours drive)

On your final day, wake up early for a hearty breakfast accompanied by your choice of coffee or tea. After checking out of the lodge, begin your return journey to Kigali, a drive of approximately 3-4 hours.

You’ll stop for lunch in Kigali and may visit local craft markets for some last-minute souvenir shopping before your driver drops you at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your unforgettable safari adventure.
