Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara national park

On the first day of your 14 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania safari you will be welcomed by your friendly and knowledgeable guide. After the initial introductions, you will be briefed about the 14 days safari and the destinations you will explore. After the briefing, you will be transferred to the wonderful Lake Manyara national park where you will arrive in time for lunch and check in at your accommodation.

After a mouthwatering welcoming lunch, you will embark on a game drive in Lake Manyara national park as you search for the various game that inhabits the park such as lions, gazelles, waterbucks, leopards, elephants, impalas, hippos, hyenas among others. In addition, to a wonderful experience, you will also relish the picturesque Lake Manyara boasts of. After head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti national park

Following a gorgeous early breakfast, you will start on your transfer to Serengeti national park. You will arrive at Serengeti national park in the early afternoon and check in at your lodge before partaking in your delicious lunch.

Shortly after you will engage in an afternoon game drive through the park as you explore the various game species from the big five like the rhino, elephants, buffalo, leopards and lion. On top of this be ready to be amazed by the stunning scenery like the kopjes a great point to find the lions as they lay in wait for their prey. After your game drive continues to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Full-day Serengeti national park

On your third day in Tanzania, you will have a full day of exploration of Serengeti starting with an early breakfast. Hereafter, go out for an early morning game drive where you will explore the beautiful savannah plains while searching for the numerous animal species Serengeti is famous for. With the morning game drive done head back to the lodge for lunch, and some rest as you await another exhilarating game drive in the evening.

Some of the wildlife you will meet are lions, zebras, buffalos, rhinos, elephants, wildebeest, kudu, waterbucks, antelope, hippos, and African leopard among others. You will retire to your lodge for refreshing and dinner. Have overnight rest as you prepare for your transfer to Ngorongoro crater.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater

After an early breakfast check out of your lodge with the assistance of your guide and staff and start on your transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. En route to the crater, you will have a stopover at the famous Olduvai Gorge with its rich history where t Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey uncovered the evidence of man's evolution.

You will relish an exhilarating lunch picnic in the African wilderness before plunging 600m into the Ngorongoro crater. The crater is a wonderful haven that attracts various wildlife species including zebra, great herds of wildebeest, eland, hippo, warthog,

buffalo, and giant African elephants including predators from lions, African leopards, jackals, hyenas and cheetah.

While in the crater you will also explore Lake Magadi in the southwestern corner of the crater. This enormous but shallow lake is home to a wide variety of flamingos, other bird species and hippos during your stop at the lake. A head to your lodge for a scrumptious dinner and evening rest.

Day 5: Transfer to Arusha

Following an early breakfast, check out of your lodge and start on your transfer to Arusha. In Arusha, you will be dropped at your hotel where you will spend the night. You will spend most of the day relaxing or exploring Arusha town. Later have a luscious dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 6: Transfer to Rwanda and Kigali city tour

After a gorgeous breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, check out from your and transfer to Arusha airport for your flight to Kigali Rwanda. On arrival in Kigali, you will be met by a new guide who will aid you while you are exploring Rwanda the land of a thousand hills. You will enjoy a brief city tour around Kigali and visit sites such as the genocide memorial site, religious architecture and local markets to mingle with the friendly citizens. Later head to your hotel for check-in and dinner.

Day 7: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

On the seventh day marking the midpoint of your 14 days Uganda Rwanda and Tanzania trip, you will rise to an early breakfast. Afterwards, head out with your guide to Nyungwe forest park national park with en-route lunch. You will reach in the late afternoon check-in, unwind and later have a scrumptious dinner.

Day 8: Chimpanzee tracking & Canopy Walk

You will rise early to a delightful breakfast before heading to the park's headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. Shortly dive into Nyungwe forest in a quest to find the exciting, mischievous and noisy apes. The Chimpanzees are man's closest living relative sharing 98.7% of our DNA. Observing the chimps as they lunge from one branch to another, hooting and laughing will give you a new aspect of these amazing creatures. The process lasts about 3 to 5 hours. After you will head back to your lodging for lunch and a little rest.

Later in the afternoon, you will go out for the exciting canopy walk found in Uwinka. Nyungwe forest is famous for its 50 meters long swing bridge suspended from its gigantic trees. From this vantage point, you will be able to view the amazing rainforest stretching miles around you. While here you will observe the wildlife below you from monkeys, butterflies and over 300 bird species.

Some of these include Albertine owlet, Dusky Crimsonwing, Archer's robin-chats, Mountain masked apalis, Grauer's swamp warbler, Handsome francolin, Kivu ground thrush, Neumann’s warbler, Buff-throated Apalis, Dwarf honeyguide, Purple-breasted sunbird. After this amazing adventure head back to your lodge in time for dinner.

Day 9: Transfer back to Kigali

Wake up to a leisurely delightful breakfast before checking out of your lodge and get ready to head to Kigali town. Before your transfer back to Kigali you will visit the Gisakura tea estate. Get an opportunity to learn about tea cultivation, it's harvesting and packaging procedure. You will also have a sample of the pleasant tea during your tea experience. After here you will be transferred to your hotel or lodge of choice in Kigali. Have a cheerful dinner and well-deserved rest.

Day 10: Transfer to Uganda

On this day you'll wake up slightly late than the previous days. Have a delightful breakfast,

out of your room and get ready to fly to another interesting wildlife destination in Uganda. On landing, in the Pearl of Africa, you will be met by a cheerful and friendly tour guide for a reminder of your safari. After the initial introductions and briefing of your days in Uganda, your guide will assist you to your hotel for check-in and rest in preparation to explore one of Africa's tiny but amazing safari destinations of Uganda.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You will partake early and elegant breakfast as you wait for your soothing boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. While on the boat cruise take in the gorgeous scenery from astounding islands like the famous Punishment Island plus the beautifully designed terraces around you.

After lunch, you will have a community encounter to have a taste of some of Uganda's cultures. During your community encounter, you will get a chance to mingle with the Batwa people a group of mostly forest residents who reside around the Bwindi Forest. This will allow you to learn about their beautiful culture, enjoy traditional dance performances, purchase local art and crafts and taste the local cuisine. Afterwards, retire to your hotel for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 12: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Wake up early to an awaiting cheerful breakfast before embarking on your transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. En route to the park, you will relish wonderful views of the beautiful Ugandan western countryside. You will have a brief stopover for lunch before continuing with your journey to Queen Elizabeth. On reaching this medley of wonders, you will head out for an evening game drive. Here you will have a chance to encounter several animal species like buffaloes, kobs, waterbucks, elephants, and warthogs. On top of this, you will be in a position to explore the over 600 bird species making the park an amazing birder's destination. Hereafter and drive back to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 13: Game drive and boat cruise

Following an early refreshing breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive experience in Queen Elizabeth national park. Here you will encounter different wildlife species the park is well known for such as big lion prides, elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, bushbucks, Uganda kobs and a variety of species of birds. The park is a well-known birders haven including even some of the Albertine endemics like Rwenzori turaco, Rwenzori batis, and notable species like the mystical shoebill stork among others.

After head back to your lodge for lunch as you wait for your Kazinga channel boat cruise. This channel marks the point where Lake George and Edward meet. The boat cruise lasts normally 2 to 3 hours and is a great opportunity for you to observe the park's amazing wildlife. This offers you a closer view of animals like hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, envelopes and buffalo among others.

Hereafter return to your lodge for a luscious dinner and good rest in preparation for tomorrow's transfer to Entebbe.

Day 14: Transfer to Entebbe for departure flight

On the last day of your 14 days safari, you will enjoy a relaxed breakfast and shortly check out of your room. You will embark on your transfer to Entebbe airport with a stopover and lunch in Mbarara town. After your scrumptious lunch, you will proceed with your transfer to Entebbe. You will arrive in the late afternoon and will be dropped off at the airport or hotel room based on your preference. This will mark the end of your 14 days of Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania safari.
