Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Akagera National Park and evening game drive
Our driver guide will be waiting for you at the airport in Kigali and immediately you arrive, you will meet him and he will take you through a briefing about your 2 days Akagera National Park safari then after he will drive you to Akagera a distance covered in two hours, you will check in at the hotel for lunch and resting as well.
In the evening, you will head for an evening game drive in the park where you will be able to spot the big five animals which include the hippos, leopards, lions, rhinoceros and buffaloes. You will also have a look at other animals like topis, giraffes, zebras and antelopes, and primates like baboons. After your game drive, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Boat cruise and transfer back to Kigali
Today, you will wake up in the morning have your breakfast then head for a morning boat trip on Lake Ihema one of the lakes found in Akagera National Park where you will spot a lot of aquatic animals like hippos on the shores, crocodiles and a lot of water birds since the park is the birder's haven with over 500 species of birds.
After your boat cruise, you will enjoy your lunch from your lodge and then check out and transfer to Kigali International airport for your flight back home en route stop over at any craft shop for some souvenirs.
