Detailed Itinerary


Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and Hotel Transfer

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you'll be greeted by an expert driver guide who will brief you on your upcoming adventure. You’ll then transfer to a hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala. An optional visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre offers an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including chimpanzees, lions, leopards, rhinos, zebras, buffalos, elephants, and more.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Evening Game Drive

Your 6 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari begins as you head towards Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Mityana - Fort Portal highway, passing through lush tea and banana plantations. Enjoy stopovers in Mubende for snacks and stretching, and in Fort Portal for a hot lunch. Once in Queen Elizabeth National Park, embark on an evening game drive guided by a park ranger. This drive offers sightings of elephants, buffalos, leopards, hyenas, warthogs, and more. Settle in at your booked lodge, preparing for another day of adventure.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Start your day with a morning game drive, where you’ll spot serval cats, hyenas, lions, leopards, jackals, and hippos along the channel banks. This 3-hour drive rewards you with stunning sunrise views and abundant wildlife. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, offering close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector

Begin the day early, passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy breakfast in the bush as you observe these rare lions, along with sightings of antelopes, elephants, and buffaloes. Continue your journey to Bwindi National Park, with an enroute lunch in southern Ishasha. Upon arrival, visit the Batwa community, where you'll experience their vibrant cultural dances and music, offering a unique glimpse into Uganda’s rich heritage. Conclude your day at the lodge.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, head to the briefing point for an introduction to gorilla trekking. Learn about the rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful encounter with the gorillas, such as maintaining a distance, avoiding flash photography, and not feeding the gorillas. Trek through Bwindi’s dense forest, home to unique bird species and diverse flora, until you meet the majestic mountain gorillas. Spend an hour with these gentle giants, capturing unforgettable memories. Return to the lodge for lunch and leisure time.

Day 6: Return to Kampala and Departure

On your final day, leave Bwindi National Park early in the morning and journey back to Kampala. A major stopover at Kayabwe allows you to stand at the equator, a must-visit landmark, where you can take photos, buy souvenirs, and enjoy a hot lunch. Continue to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home, marking the end of your 6 days Uganda safari.
